Dog lovers social - Isle of Dogs

Join Helen and other dog owners in Stirchley for a sociable evening where dogs take centre stage; in film and in our hearts. Helen has organised a screening of Wes Anderson’s ‘Isle of Dogs’ (PG) which is set in Japan. The animated feature follows a boy's odyssey in search of his dog.

Storyline

An outbreak of dog flu has spread through the city of Megasaki, Japan, and Mayor Kobayashi has demanded all dogs to be sent to Trash Island. On the island, a young boy named Atari sets out to find his lost dog, Spots, with the help of five other dogs... with many obstacles along the way.

The event starts with various fun fundraising activities for a dog rescue charity, so bring along some change for a good cause.

If you are a dog owner you can have your dog featured on the pre-main feature 'Dogs of Stirchley' short by submitting photo to @lauracraven #dogsofstirchley

Many of you will probably know the names of each others’ dogs, even if you don’t know the owners; so come down and find out!

Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, including alcohol.
