Selly Oak Constituency Neighbourhood Network Scheme and Stirchley Open Cinema are pleased to present the 1959 classic Some Like It Hot (12) as this year’s first #MondayMatinee.
This hysterical comedy of 1959 from director Billy Wilder finds Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon masquerading as women in order to elude irate Chicago mobsters after they inadvertently witness the St Valentine’s Day Massacre. They take refuge in Florida with Sweet Sue (Marilyn Monroe) and her Society Syncopators, an all-female band.
