Do you believe cinema can bring communities together?
A grant from the Local Innovation Fund is helping local residents set up Stirchley Community Cinema for the benefit of Stirchley residents and their neighbours. Are you interested in organising cinema nights for your street? Film screenings aimed at different audiences? Or creating relaxed and informal environments where everyone can enjoy a movie? Our small volunteer development team are running a series of pilots at Stirchley Baths over the next few months, so we can share learning, experiences and make sure that Stirchley Community Cinema is a sustainable operation. We are planning dementia-friendly and relaxed screenings, family cinema and cinema which brings local streets together. What ideas do you have? What kind of film nights or daytime screenings would you like to see?
Join us at a ‘Build your own film night’ workshop with Flatpack and Film Hub Midlands to find out how to get started. Learn more about Stirchley Community Cinema. Why not join our development team and use cinema to help bring more of our local communities and neighbourhoods together?
